I Always End Up With the Wrong Underhook Against a Southpaw

Against an orthodox fighter I know where to put my arms in the clinch. Against a southpaw I reach in and something is already wrong before I get position. I never find the right underhook.

In your next clinch with a southpaw, focus only on your first arm in. Which arm leads? Where does it go? Stop worrying about position and just notice which arm goes first and what it finds when it arrives. Come back when you can describe what your arm does in the first second of the clinch.
