My Opponent Does Nothing Then Turns It On Late
01 · The Situation
They do almost nothing for two rounds. Quiet, patient, giving you nothing. Then in round three they are a different fighter. You do not know how to fight someone who is waiting.
02 · Your Turn
In your next sparring, ask your partner to do almost nothing for the first round — just move, block, and wait. Notice what you do with the space. Are you pressing forward? Getting comfortable? Getting bored? Come back when you know what you were doing during the quiet.
